2022年9月21日、The Attic TheatreにてThe Adventures of Sherlock Holmesを観劇（1時間55分、休憩込み）。アーサー・コナン・ドイルの'A Scandal in Bohemia' 'The Speckled Band' 'The Final Problem'を一気に上演するという作品でした。
劇場の入口からBaker Streetの表示があり、劇場内は以前シャーロック・ホームズ博物館で見たような雰囲気がそのままに再現されていました。ホームズの衣装もイメージそのままで、ロンドンにあるホームズの銅像で見た通りのものでした。ホームズ、ワトソン、モリアーティー教授、アイリーン・アドラーなどお馴染みの人物が登場し、物語の世界観に引き込まれました。
この上演回は満席でした。また他の回でも、チケット売り場に人が並んでいるところをよく見かけます。イギリスではホームズが人気なのだなと実感しました。
On 21 September 2022, I saw and heard The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle at The Attic Theatre. It was a mixture of 'A Scandal in Bohemia', 'The Speckled Band', and 'The Final Problem'.
The auditorium looked like 221B Baker Street, and the audiences were like witnesses of Holmes's cases. The decorations on stage reminded me of what I saw in the Sherlock Holmes Museum. Holmes's costume also reminded me of the statue of Holmes in London. We witnessed the famous characters in the series, such as Dr Watson, Professor Moriarty, and Irene Adler.
This time, tickets were sold out. I assume that Sherlock Holmes is so popular in England.
